Rachel wished that she had sung about her feelings instead of talking about them herself. It was so much easier to use other peoples' words instead of her own. Her own words were awkward and stilted and she just wished that when she opened her mouth it had been to sing. Maybe if she sang things instead of screwing things up by talking she would have more friends. Or maybe even more people would find her even more annoying. Rachel gasped as Mike suddenly pulled her in a tight hug. Hesitantly, she unfolded her arms and hugged him back, waiting until he finished talking before sliding gently out of his grasp. "Thank you," she mouthed, smiling slightly as she wiped the last of her stupid tears from her eyes.

Mackenzie entered the dance studio and went to the front desk. She pushed her sunglasses to the top of her head and looked at the woman at the desk. Her piercing blue eyes were soft and secretive and her beautiful blonde hair was clipped half back. The woman at the desk stopped typing away at her computer and looked up at the girl.
"Oh hello Mackenzie dear," the woman said. "What can I do for you?"
"Hi Mrs. Darling," Mackenzie replied softly. "I just want a private room if it's at all possible. I need a sort of get away right now."
"Of course I can," the woman answered. "You can take your regular room."
"Thank you," Mackenzie smiled.
"You're welcome dear," the woman stated.
"If anyone comes looking for me," Mackenzie called over her shoulder as she was walking away. "Just send them to the room."
"Will do dear," the woman said going back to her typing. Mackenzie sighed softly as she entered the girls bathroom and changed out of her everyday dress. She pulled on a pair of dark purple sophies and a white tank top. She switched her shoes pulling on her ballet Pointe slippers. She put her things neatly in her bag and exited the stall. She went to the sink and pulled out her hair brush and a simple black hair bow. She unclipped her blonde hair and tossed the clip into her bag before brushing their her strawberry scented blonde hair. She pulled her hair back into a simple pony tail and put her brush in her bag. She zipped up the bag and left the girls room. She found the dance studio room she always got and went in. She pulled out her cd case and went to the radio. She pulled out one of her Jordan Pruitt Cd's and popped it in. She found the song she wanted which was "Outside Looking In" and hit play. As soon as the music started Mackenzie started dancing to the beat and singing the lyrics. She loved to freestyle but right now she had to practice for her upcoming dance competition. Soon she was no longer in this world but in her own world.

Kristin had been in the choir room all day working on her new song and wanted a little time to do something else. She hadn't done anything in the form of dance for a while so she figured to go to the Dance Studio.
"Hey Mrs. Darling." Kristin smiled as she walked in.
"Hey Kris sweetie, what can I do for you?" she asked back cheerfully.
"Any private rooms free?"
"Not right now but I'm sure Mackenzie won't mind if you share with her." she said. Kristin nodded and walked into the room. She watched Kenzie dancing and was in awe. When she finished she gave her a round of applause.
"Wow...that was amazing. I hope you don't mind Mrs. Darling told me I could come in here?"

Mackenzie jumped when she heard applause and looked at Kristin and let out a sigh of relief when she saw who it was. She hit the pause button on the radio and looked at Kristin.
"Oh god," Mackenzie laughed. "You scared me. Thanks and of course. I don't mind sharing. I was just rehearsing for a dance competition I have coming up. Oh by the way. I'm throwing a party at my house later. You in?"

"I'll have to check it over with my mom...she always seems to get worried when I go out...she'll probably say yes though." Kris smiled as she dropped her bag.

"Okay cool," Mackenzie replied. "So you're in Glee right?" Mackenzie pushed a stray strand of blonde hair behind her ear as she looked at the girl in the studio with her. She looked around the room with her piercing blue eyes before looking at the girl again.

"Yeah I joined a few months back..." Kris pushed a strand of her brunette hair out her eyes before looking back at Kenzie "What about you, I haven't seen you around much, not that I'm ignorant or snobby or anything...somehow people get that vibe off me, probably because of who my Mom is."

Mackenzie thought for a moment before replying. She bit her lip as if she was unsure whether to ask or not but she was really curious. She never spoke to anyone about it not even her sister or twin. No one even knew she danced or sang besides her family until now. She looked at the brunette and smiled softly. "What's it like," Mackenzie asked. "Glee? I've been pretty busy. With my part time job at Starbucks, vocal lessons, dance rehearsals and the upcoming competition plus helping my older sister teach her dance classes added on to school."

Mackenzie bit her lip hesitantly. "Maybe I shouldn't," Mackenzie stated more to herself. "I mean everyone in that club must be extremely talented. I'm just...me. Isn't Puckerman in Glee? I mean not that I care or anything...it's just..." She gave a shrug and looked away as her cheeks turned a soft rose pink. "He's dating Santana though isn't he," Mackenzie added. "I mean it doesn't matter to me...I'm just curious...you know...I've been out of the loop lately."

"You definitely should join! Yeah Puck's in Glee Club and....I don't really know, it seems to be someone different every week...you'll be amazing I'm sure of it...I'm kinda alone in the club nobody else does Soprano singing."

Mackenzie looked at the girl once again biting her lip. You wouldn't think her shy but when it comes to singing she's really shy. "I dunno Kris," Mackenzie stated. "I don't think I would be good enough. No one else is a soprano? I believe that but uh...I...you want to know a secret?"

Mackenzie smiled softly at the girl. "Thanks," Mackenzie stated. "Okay well you have to swear not to tell anyone...at all. This is between you and me." Mackenzie looked around again with her icy blue eyes.

Mackenzie laughed softly before biting her lip. "I kind of have a thing for," Mackenzie started before looking around. "Puckerman," Mackenzie finished looking at the girl again.

(brb I have to go change into my uniform and straighten my hair. Shouldn't take but 15 minutes I hope.)

Mackenzie smiled. "Oh," Mackenzie said as she packed up her stuff. "Meet me in the auditorium in 10 minutes okay." Mackenzie put her bag on her shoulder and went and changed back into her clothes before getting in her car and driving to the school.
