Public Library

[Brittany S. Pierce]

Brittany walked up to what she now learned was the library. She always wondered what this big building was, but never felt the urge to find out what it was. She was here meeting one of Kurt's Dalton friends for tutoring. She needed to get better grades if she wanted to stay on the Cheerios, and no-one at McKinely had the patience to want to teach Brit anything. They had arranged to meet at the library in Lima, since Brittany didn't want to get lost trying to get to Narnia, or wherever it was that Dalton was located. She walked inside and looked around, already becoming confused. She whispered to herself, "I need an adult."

Wes packed up a bag of books and some study materials, knowing this girl he was going to tutor was going to be a challenge. He made his way to the library and went inside. He had always been one for helping people learn new things. He went into the library and moved to one of the tables near the front of the library, hoping the girl he was tutoring would spot him. He pulled out one of the books and started looking over it.

Brittany continued to look around and spotted a boy sitting by himself. Never one to be shy, she went over to see if it was the person she was meeting. "Hi. Are you Wes? I'm Brittany." She smiled at him and tried not to focus on the amount of books that were sitting in front of him.

[Wes Hughes]

Wes looked up and smiled. "Hello!" He said, averting his attention to the gorgeous blonde standing in front of him. He stood up and put out his hand to shake.

[Brittany S. Pierce]

Brittany gave him a winning smile. "Nice to meet you! Thanks for coming here. I need help so that I can stay on the Cheerios." She smiled again and sat on the chair opposite him.

[Wes Hughes]

Wes smiled at the girl. "Are the cheerios your cheerleading squad?" He asked, a bit confused.

[Brittany S. Pierce]

Brittany looked at him like he was the dumb one. "Yeah. We're like, the best in the country. But our coach is really tough. That's why I need help with my grades." She nodded once and looked around the room again, making sure Sue wasn't lurking around somewhere.

"Oh Right!" Wes nodded. He thought Kurt mentioned something about that at some point. "Well we should start getting to work." Wes nodded

[Brittany S. Pierce]

Brittany nodded and looked at the books a little apprehensively. "Where do you want to start? I pretty much suck at everything. Besides coloring. I'm awesome at that." She looked very serious.

Wes started laughing, thinking she was telling a joke, but then she realized she wasn't. He blushed slightly, feeling embarrassed. "Well...should we start with math." He said out loud, hoping it would be the easiest to teach

[Brittany S. Pierce]

Brittany sighed. "Okay. I'm in Algebra. I get confused with all the numbers and letters. It doesn't make any sense to me." She reached into her bag and grabbed out her book, which looked like it had never been opened. "I usually just copy off someone else's paper." She shrugged like it was no big deal.

[Wes Hughes]

Wes looked at the book and took it from her, opening it. "So...we should just start at the beginning then." He said as he handed her a notebook.

[Brittany S. Pierce]

Brittany shrugged. "Whatever." She sighed and pulled out a notebook, ready to attempt to take notes. She wondered if she should warn this boy just how stupid she really was. She shook it off, knowing he'd find out sooner or later.

Wes started explaining the basic principles of algebra as described in the book he was looking at.

[Brittany S. Pierce]

Brittany was bored and confused the moment he started speaking. "This is too complicated. I would totally ask you if you want to go make out or something, but I promised my friend Mike I wouldn't cheat anymore. Well, on people, not on tests."

[Wes Hughes]

Wes blinked a few times and then looked at her. "We...could make out if you want." He raised an eyebrow and then coughed, knowing that people would frown upon him making out with anyone

[Brittany S. Pierce]

Brittany sighed. "I wish. I have a boyfriend though. It may change because I just had sex with someone else, but for right now I have a boyfriend. Maybe some other time. I guess we'll have to stick with ABC it's easy as 123. Which doesn't make any sense, since it's not really easy."

[Wes Hughes]

Wes raised his eyebrows at the last comment. "Brittany....do you know your ABC's?" He felt like he was teaching a pre-schooler.

[Brittany S. Pierce]

Brittany nodded happily. "Yup. Mr. Schue taught me last year. I always stopped after M and N because I thought they sounded too similar. But I know them now. Want me to sing them? I don't know if you know this, but I'm a great singer." She smiled brightly.

[Wes Hughes]

"I-I don't think you're supposed to sing in a library." He said quietly. Then he thought of something else, "How high can you count?"

[Brittany S. Pierce]

Brittany shrugged. "I don't know. As high as I can go. I get bored after eight. Because there is always up to eight counts when you're dancing... I usually start over after that."

[Wes Hughes]

Wes sighed. This is certainly going to be a challenge Wes thought. "Umm...alright?"

[Brittany S. Pierce]

"You're really cute. Do you have a girlfriend? Wait. You go to the all boys school. Is that like a gay paradise?" Brittany stared at Wes with wonder.

[Wes Hughes]

Wes' eyes widened. "Uh...no I'm single...but I'm bi"

[Brittany S. Pierce]

If possible, Brittany's eyes got even wider. "Really? That's so cool! Did you know that I'm the only girl at McKinley that's made out with Kurt?" Of course she was sort of saying that to cover up saying that she always wondered if she was bi too.
