Santana walked over to her car with Brittany, swinging their hands lightly as she walked and then let go of her pinky as she walked to the other side of the car and hoped in, starting up the car before she pulled out, ready to follow Wes to "Gay Hogwarts"

Reed stumbled through the isles of the library, carrying a large stack of books that he could barely see over. He tripped, sending them flying all over the floor. It was unusual that Reed would visit the public library, especially when Dalton already had an extensive collection of books in it's wake. It was the weekend, however, and the library at Dalton was closed. Reed loved to read (ooc: no pun intended Razz

) and he often found so many books he liked at once that he couldn't decide which one to read first. He loved to escape his own world and go into the endless realms of fiction. Before Dalton, he didn't have that many friends, and with his mom leaving him alone so often, he had to find a way to cope with his loneliness. Books were his escape.

He flushed picking up the books on the ground as people began to stare.

Mercedes heard something fall so she looked up and started giggling.Some boy had just fell to the ground books surrounding him. Laughing at someone misfortune was so rude especially someone you don't know but Mercedes couldn't help it. Mercedes looked around and saw everyone looking at the poor boy who fell so she decided to get up and help him.

Reed looked up from the jumble of books as he saw a girl approaching him. Reed instantly recognized her as Mercedes, the girl with the belty high notes from New Directions. Kurt had talked a lot about her in his time at Dalton.

"Hey-aren't you Kurt's friend? Mercedes is it?"

"Oh yeah." Mercedes said. Mercedes guessed he must be from Dalton,but from all the details Kurt has given her about all the guys from Dalton she couldn't find anything that fits him expect.....all the books! Mercedes smiled. He must be Reed. "Are you Reed?" Mercedes asked

He laughed, half out of relief that she even recognized him at all, and he didn't look like a complete idiot. "Yep that's me. The klutz." he motioned to the books around him. "This happens so often it's second nature." he shrugged, putting the final of the fallen books back onto the pile.

Reed smiled at Mercedes' kindness. Not everyone would offer to carry such a heavy stack of books. "Oh wow. Thank you!" he smiled, as she took a few of them out of his hands.

"Actually, I'm just going home with them." Reed flushed, "My mom isn't home right now and I need some way to occupy the time." he motioned to quite a few art books in his hands. "I usually just end up painting the whole weekend."

"Wow." Mercedes said. "And you were planning to carry these books all the way home." Mercedes laughed. "I'd like to see some of your paintings sometime."

He hadn't really thought about the going home part. "I-erm-I guess I wasn't thinking that far ahead." he shifted uncomfortably, sitting the books down on a nearby table for the time being. "Well-I have a few of them that are going to be in the gallery next week at Dalton..."

"Awesome, I've never seen Dalton and I am very curious of what it looks like." Mercedes said putting the books she was carrying on a table.

"Well then you should come with Kurt!" he frowned at the mention of his friends name. Kurt was gone. He was leaving Dalton and returning to New Directions. Reed sighed. "Are you excited?" he asked, "I mean about Kurt...coming back to New Directions." He smiled trying to hide the sadness in his voice.

Reed gave Mercedes a half-hearted smile. "Yeah...we do. Kurt's an amazing friend, I'm sure you know." Reed knew that Mercedes and Kurt were inseperable. "We don't stand a chance against you guys at Regionals with Kurt back!"

Reed blushed. "Thanks" he smiled. Mercedes was really nice. He could definitely see why Kurt and her were such good friends. "You guys have amazing dancers though.We're still..." he flushed deeper thinking of Shane. "..working that part out..." If they could get their dancing past their usual two-step, maybe they would still have a chance against Mckinley.

"Not all of us are the best dancers." Mercedes said. Thinking about how Finn hit Rachel in the nose. " You wouldn't want to be around Finn while your dancing you just might get hurt."

Reed pulled a face. Kurt had told him about the slushying that happened on a daily basis at Mckinley. All those clothes-perfectly ruined! He was sure slushy DID NOT come out of cashmere...
"I could not handle that! I'd have to wear my rain jacket everyday..." he shook his head. He had a newfound respect for Kurt and all of New Directions. He knew from Kurt's stories that the bullying there was pretty bad. He was grateful for Dalton's anti-bullying policy. "The worst that's ever happened to me is getting tripped in my old school." He remembered the kids would laugh at him for the clothing he wore, or how clumsy he was. That's partly why he decided to come to Dalton. It was also time to get away from his mother's control. Moving to Dalton was his first shot at independence.

"It's hard to handle ,but after a while you start to know where the bullies come from in the hallway and you can go a diffrent way." Mercedes said. Unless they go a different way, then your screwed. She thought.
