Continued from here!

Samtana pulled up to the Breadstix parking lot in Sam's car after their afternoon of having fun under the bleachers and going to see The Biebs new movie and once Sam parked his car Santana hopped out and closed the door behind her. She turned and smiled at him as she walked across the parking lot with him to the entrance of the restaurant. She was definitely pretty hungry and she could feel the small ache in her stomach but she just had to keep telling herself that she wasn't really hungry. She was just thinking that and it was all in her head. All she needed was a glass of water and a small salad and she would be good. "Thanks for doing all this with me Sam." She said, glancing over at him and giving him a small smile. "I really like spending time with you."

Sam parked his BMW right near the Breadstix entrance, attempting to act as somewhat of a gentlemen he opened the restaurant door for her. Once they had stepped inside, he was instantly hit with the lingering aroma of freshly baked bread and hardy bowls of pasta. He felt as his stomachs dull roar grow louder as he was overwhelmed with the temptations of food. Yet in truth, he'd probably just settle for some salad and a simple glass of ice water. "Table for two," he insured the Maitre D.

"Right this way, please," she ushered them over to a descent seat at the far corner of the restaurant. Sam nodded his head thanking her softly. He felt fortunate that she hadn't assured them a spot that was out in open just in case someone they knew happened to have spotted them. Then they'd nail the two with questions and assume that Sam had been sneaking off on Quinn...which was kind of the truth. But then again, it was no ones damn business and all he wanted to do was enjoy dinner in peace.

As he scooted into the booth, he overheard Santana thank him and insist that she really enjoyed spending time with him. Sam felt as his cheeks reddened and that dopey grin reappeared on his face. "Thanks," he shot back, "I really enjoy spending time with you too, Santana. I've had a lot of fun today and well- lets just say I'm happy that we ran in to each other on the foot ball field. And that I had the courage to talk to you." Sam stiffled a soft laugh. "And that you weren't totally turned off at my dorkiness."

Santana was glad when they were led to a booth near the back of the restaurant for she really didn't like being in the middle of the resataurant, being out in the open where anyone could walk in and see them. Sure she wasn't doing anything wrong with Sam, she was just simply eating dinner with him. But people wouldn't think that was all it was if they walked in right now, especially Quinn or Mike.

Santana slid into the booth and looked up at him with a smile. She couldn't help but laugh lightly when he said that he was happy he had the courage to talk to her. He must have gotten one of those texts from Blaine everyone had been talking about. She didn't really understand how people needed courage just to talk to her, she saw herself as a pretty nice person. Well to people that she liked at least, or attractive. "Well, to be honest." She said quietly as she looked up at him. "I think your dorkiness is actually pretty cute." She admitted with a light shrug. "Don't tell anyone I said that though. Can't let all the other dorks in the school thinking that I'll get with them just because they are dorks." She said with a playful wink.

She shifted her gaze off of him when she saw their waitress walk up to them and ask what they wanted to drink. "I'll just take an ice water please." She said to the waitress before turning to Sam as she waited for him to order what he wanted to drink.

Sams cheeks continued to burn bashfully especially when she gushed about how she found his dorkiness cute. Although he was blushing like mad, Sam ended up loosening up a bit with the relief that he could be more of himself around her- dorkiness and all. It seemed as despite him putting in all this effort to appeal as masculine and macho in order to impress everybody and keep his secret hidden- at the end of the day, girls always seemed to find his inner dork both endearing and charming. It was if that for that moment when they stifled a laugh at one of his lame impressions- all his intimidations towards badasses like Puck had suddenly faded.

It also meant a lot coming from Santana, specifically, he was at first very hesitant being himself around her that day. He had been told countless amount of times by Quinn that she was nothing but vicious and she could recall your imperfections better then anyone and then tear you down for it. But no, she liked Sam, god- if only he had known he would of befriended her a long time ago. "You do?" he questioned one more time, wanting to reassure him that he was cute again since it pleased him coming from her. "Well, you're pretty cute yourself." He added with a flirtatious grin.

When she mentioned that he better not let anyone know she had a thing for dorky guys...cause pretty soon they'd think they had a right to hit on her. Sam couldn't help but smirk and snicker, imagining the Star Wars fan club trying to impress her with photoshopped photos of her in a Princess Lea costume.

He was suddenly summoned down to earth when the waitress asked him for his drink order. He was too busy imagining how sexy Santana would look in that Star Wars bikini dress. "Uh, two." he mimicked, ordering another glass of iced water.

As he waited for his drink, he turned to Santana. A question that had been occupying his mind the entire night. "Santana, can I just ask...are you seeing anybody?" He lowered his gaze. "And by anybody I mean, Mike Chang?"

Santana nodded when he questioned if she really did. "Yeah I like your dorkiness, it's what really makes you...you." She said with a smile and she grinned widely when he said that she was pretty cute. For every compliment really did help when it came to things about her looks, which was definitely a hard thing for her to actually like about herself. She was never big on anything about her body, which was one of the main reasons for her summer surgery, she was just trying to make herself look better than she did before. She wanted to be noticed for her looks because her personality was not all that great according to ninety percent of the school.

Santana smiled as he ordered a glass of ice water for himself, slightly surprised in his order because most guys of their age would do almost anything they could to try and order a beer of some sorts. Especially Puck. No matter where he was if he could get a beer he would have one.

Santana's face dropped slightly at his question about Mike. The answer was obvious, it was no. She wasn't seeing Mike. Though she still didn't answer right away. She didn't know what was going on with her and Mike at the moment. They both had admitted to liking each other yet they weren't together. When she realized she should probably answer his question she looked up at him and spoke. "No." She said shaking her head. "Mike and I are....we're just friends at the moment." She said quietly.

Sam smirked, that dopey widened grin still evident on his face. It was a great feeling knowing that his dorkiness was one of his most fond qualities since it truly was him just goofing off and being himself. He’d have to remind himself the next time he’d force himself to do something that he was terribly hesitant about doing- just because it’d build up his macho reputation. Sam wondered if Santana was obligated to think like this before any decision she made in public. Maybe underneath all that tough girl exterior, she really had genuinely different intentions. Which she had to deny and keep up with her act in order to maintain her designated image….he and Santana had a lot more in common then Sam thought…

He witnessed Santana’s expression fall slightly when he brought up Mike. Sam somewhat regretted it since it could have potentially caused certain discomfort and stress. Sam knew that Santana had fooled around with a handful of guys but for some reason he had assumed that the two were an item. When she denied it, he arched an eyebrow, slightly puzzled at her confession. He’d admit, he was the sharpest tool in the shed but he knew that there had to be some evident chemistry and history between the two. Instead he just nodded his head as he tangled his fingers through his hair. “Good to know,” he commented.

Feeling really open at the moment, Sam couldn’t prepare himself for the confession that had suddenly graced his lips. “I think I’m going to end things with Quinn.” He blurted, shocked at himself for coming to terms with the truth and speaking those words aloud. As much as it hurt to say, he was relieved that it was somewhat official. “I can’t have her sneaking around with Puckerman behind my back, it’ll just kill me.”

Sam instantly felt the temperature increase from the tension as he quickly fanned himself, craving that iced water more then ever at this point. On cue, the waitress trotted over with their drink orders placing them in front of both of them. Sam didn’t hesitate to take a large chug before thanking the waitress. As she left, he aimlessly stirred the straw and watched the lemon floating to the bottom. The lemon should of sparked some memories of his first date here with Quinn, when he had confessed he had put lemon juice in his hair to keep it so blonde. Instead, he shook that off and said:

“Besides, I guess it means something that she hadn’t constantly been on my mind all night…” his voice lingering as his eyes twinkled.

Santana gave him a small smile as he arched an eyebrow at her, almost as if he was surprised that she wasn't with Mike. "Yeah, he's a nice guy and all and I like him but I don't know if I can really handle having a relationship with anybody." She said with a small shrug. She definitely had too many problems in her life to be able to handle a relationship with somebody. Just the other day she had told Mike that she liked him and then today she had sex with Sam. She wasn't faithful enough for one and it would definitetly take a lot of work in her opinion for someone to tame her. It would also take them a lot of stanima because if someone was in a relationship with her they would definitely have to be willing to put out, a lot.

Her eyes widened slightly when he said that he was going to end things with Quinn because he couldn't have her sneaking around with Puck behind his back. It hurt to hear that she was sneaking around with Puck, the first guy she ever really had feelings for.

She looked up at the waitress as she dropped off the waters and picked hers up and took a long swig of it, sighing slightly as she set it down. "Yeah, that's probably a good thing though that you're going to break up with her. She is definitely the girl that would cheat on you but never tell you. It wouldn't be the first time she's done it to a guy." She said, shaking her head thinking back to when Quinn got preggo and tried to convince Finn it was his. That was just a completely dumb move all around to be honest.

Sam nodded at her solemnly, as he aimlessly twirled around the straw in his ice water, easily occupied. He took another chug at his drink before clearing his throat and speaking up. “I think after all this is over…I’m going to try and stay single,” Sam admitting, the confession wrenched at his heart and lead his voice to quiver slightly. “I’ve learned from the past that I’m not exactly the type of guy that’s good at you know…” His voice lingered off as he searched for the most suitable choice of words. “Serious relationship material”, Sam claimed, in all honesty. It may have sounded as Sam was never fond of serious relationships- which weren’t even slightly true. The total opposite actually, he was usually the one falling too hard and too fast and convincing himself that they were the one. It was exactly that, that proved he wasn’t qualified to be involved in a serious relationship. He gotten way too ahead of himself and rushed things, in the end it always seemed as if he had screwed things up epically and he was fed up with the whole stress and heart break of it all. It may sound like he was acting somewhat like a man-whore, but he preferred to stick with some casual dates or outings. Perhaps maybe even a friend’s with benefits kind of thing? Like I said, just thinking that made Sam sound like a man-whore.

He watched as the expression crept on her face when he had revealed he was planning on ending things with Quinn. Slightly amused, he shielded his grin by sipping at his iced water again. Suddenly he detected a gleam of hurt in her eyes which he figured had to do with the fact that he had mentioned it was Puck who was canoodling with Quinn. Being the nice guy that he was, Sam couldn’t have helped but to feel sympathetic. “Don’t worry,” He assured her. “Puck’s a dick and you were way better off without him anyways. I mean, you’re Santana Lopez- right?” Sam exclaimed as he urged her to look at herself, not bothering to wipe that goofy grin on his face.

When Santana had explained how breaking up with Quinn was for the best, he nodded at her considering what she had to say. He was just about to respond when they were interrupted by a sing-song voice:

“Hello! Have you two love birds decided what to order?” She asked, cheerfully, smiling widely at Santana and Sam, encouraging them to speak up.

“What? No-“ Sam was in mid-way from arguing and claiming that the two of them weren’t indeed love birds but it wasn’t worth it- she was just trying to be polite and she probably could care less. Instead, he ordered: “I’d just have a salad, no croutons, and Italian dressing on the side.” He informed cautiously, immensely paranoid of not only consuming too many calories but also looking like a fat ass in front of Santana.

Santana raised an eyebrow at him slightly as he said he was going to try and stay single. She knew what it was like, being single for long periods of time and just doing whatever. Not having anyone ask who you are with all the time or what you are doing with them. It was nice sometimes but then there were other times where she just felt completely lonely. Like on Valetines Day. Sure this Valentines Day she had spent with Mike but they weren't dating and they didn't do anything that a normal couple would do because she was sick. So instead they just laid in her bed and watched a movie together. "Yeah, I know what you mean," She said when he mentioned how he wasn't great at serious relationships. "I feel the same way, serious relationships are too hard and people get hurt way to often." She said with a sigh. "I would rather just keep everything simple to be honest." She said with a light shrug. "but not everyone likes that. Some people are all into love and stuff like that."

Santana smiled at his words about Puck. "Yeah," She said smiling and nodded slowly. "Yeah you're right. I don't need him in my life anymore." She said, trying to truly believe her words but finding it extremely hard considering her past relationship with Puck since Freshman year.

Santana looked over at the waitress, raising an eyebrow at her slightly when she called them love birds. She shook her head and then looked back to Sam. "We're not." She added quietly after Sam had started telling her that they were not together. She figured she should make it clear to the waitress so she didn't bring out some couples platter for dessert or anything like that.

Santana thought for a moment. "I'll have the same." She said with a small nod. "But not dressing at all." She added, because although dressing was rather good on salad, it was also quite fattening and she couldn't risk gaining any more weight.

A Seperate Room in Breadstix - Page 9 Empty Re: A Seperate Room in Breadstix

Post  Sammy Evans Mon Apr 18, 2011 10:34 pm

"Exactly." Sam agreed, feeling a rush of happiness sweep past him for he had finally found someone that seemed to have genuinely understood how he felt on the matter. Although, he was well aware that she was intentionally the type who never invested her time into any serious relationships in regards to her habits on living on one night stands. Yet Sam had interpreted this is a new perspective after finally opening up to Santana, it didn't necessarily mean she was a needy whore that craved sexual attention all the time...perhaps it was for a whole deeper meaning. A meaning that no one had bothered to consider since they had whipped up hash judgement instantly.
Like he had mentioned ahead of time, Sam was beginning to see Santana in a different light. He never truly realized that despite her reputation the two of them had a fair share of similarities. "I'm glad you understand," Sam noted, truthfully.

Sam was taken a back with a sense of pride when he witnessed the delighted expression that casted across her face, all for what he had insisted about Puck. "That's the spirit," he encouraged, nudging her slightly. "I bet there are a ton of dudes banging on your door, throwing themselves on their knees and worshiping the very ground you walk upon...just so they'd have the slimmest chance with you." He couldn't help but amuse himself for the last part was terribly melodramatic. "You don't need some prick like Puck to hold you back," Sam added.

After the small misunderstanding of where their relationship lied, the waitress quickly returned with their orders. Noticing that Santana hadn't ordered any dressing cause Sam to fret quite a bit. Maybe ordered dressing was a stupid move? I mean, there had to be a shit load of calories in just one tea spoon...

Sam settled on, neglecting his dressing. Although, he practically ignored his meal all together. He was far too occupied with keeping the conversation flowing with Santana. They really seemed to be hitting on for it was as if they had clicked, naturally, and in an instant. Which lead Sam to also question what this relationship was considered as...

"How about we play 20 questions?" Sam suggested, letting his curiosity get the best of him. "We can each ask each other 20 questions freely...and as brutal as they may be...we have to answer with the truth and nothing but the truth." Sam cocked an eyebrow at her, playfully. "Deal?"

Santana gave him a wide smile as he said that he was glad she understood. "I'm glad you understand too." She said with a small smile. "It's just so hard sometimes to stay in a serious relationship. Things get too complicated." She said with a sigh. "I mean, it's definitely worth trying I think if it's with the right person you know? But still, even then it's hard." She said, looking down at her water before taking a sip. "Feelings in general are hard, and complicated." She added quietly.

Santana laughed lightly as he said there were probably tons of dudes banging on her door and worshiping her. "Not exactly." She said with a small shrug. Guys weren't exactly ones to worship her. Sure they liked her for sex, but worship her? Not exactly. "I don't need Puck though," She said quietly. She knew it would be hard to live her life without him, considering their relationship, but she was definitely motivated to do it.

Santana looked down at her plate when the waitress set it in front of her and frowned slightly, quickly getting rid of the frown once she realized what she was doing. She hoped Sam didn't notice though. She just, really was not a huge fan of eating rabbit food. Sure it helped her to keep from getting huge and being fat, but it was still pretty gross. It also didn't really do that great a job of making her full. Not without croutons and dressing with it. She shook her head slightly and took a bite of her salad. This is what she needed to eat. If she wanted people in Lima to like her and notice her this is how she would have to eat.

Santana looked up at him, smiling as she decided to ignore the meal in front of her to look up at Sam and listen to him. She raised an eyebrow at him slightly when he suggested they play 20 questions and she smiled. "Sure, let's do it!" She said with a large smile. "Deal." She said nodding, because she was usually pretty good with being able to answer questions honestly for people."You go first." She said, sitting back slightly in her seat as she waited for him to ask her a question.

“Okay” Sam nodded in agreement to starting off the game since it was his suggestion. As much as he was aware that Santana played hard ball in regards to her fearless she was, he settled on opening the game with a much lighter question. After all, it was their first time playing together and he didn’t want to scare her off by asking some questions that were too personal and stimulated some uneasy tension. He was hoping that as the game progressed he’d be able to dig in a little deeper but for now he was letting her off easy. Finally, his mind clicked and he thought of a sensible question. “What is the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever done?’ Sam questioned, a smirk creeping on his lips, feeling curious.

Santana smiled at him slightly as he asked her what the most embarrassing thing she has ever done was. "Hmmm," She said, sitting back in the seat as she pursed her lips slightly, trying to think of what she had done in her life that was embarrassing. Suddenly one popped into her mind that she found extremely embarrassing. She sat up slightly as she thought of it and smiled at him, completely abandoning her salad on the table as she thought about playing the game. She just hoped Sam wouldn't notice that she wasn't really touching her food much at all. "Okay so this was Freshman year." She told him. "I was over at Matt's house, he was one of the kids that was in Glee club before you came to McKinley." She told him with a small nod. "Anyways, we were really good friends and I was over at his house and I went to go to the bathroom. So I went into the bathroom, and right as I walked in his older brother who was a Senior in college at the time got out of the shower. So I saw everything and it just got so awkward and I was so embarrassed." She said, laughing lightly as she thought about it. "But yeah, I could never go back to his house again when his brother was there and Matt always had to come to mine when we wanted to hang out." She said, waiting for his reaction to her little story.

She waited for his reaction and then after she asked him her question. "Okay, Would you rather be smart and ugly or dumb and hot?" She asked him curiously.

Sam couldn’t help but to burst out laughing after Santana had finished telling her story, he shook his head at her with that amused grin still plastered to his face. Sometimes it was a relief to be reminded that even people who seemed as flawless as Santana could find themselves in such awkward situations and it wasn’t just Sam. “Wow. That must have been quite the traumatic experience,” he quipped as he ran his hands through his thickened blonde hair. He was easily entertained by her tale and promised himself that he’d be willing to tell one that was equally as amusing instead of growing bashful and sputter something lame.

He arched his eyebrow at her when she shot him her question to him. Sam nodded in approval as he stroked his chin, pondering his most genuine answer. When he had it, he cleared his throat:

“My whole life I’ve been lived with dyslexia and it like really sucks because I can’t really compute with the rest of the world. Yet I’ve always seemed to get past that because I’m easy on the eyes and I’m good at sports and stuff. But just one day I’d trade in my Bieber-esque hair and my rock hard abs for some suspenders and a muffin top…just so I’d have a brain like Sheldon Cooper from like the Big Bang Theory.” Sam barely noticed that he had been rambling on so he continued as he expressed his cunning plans. “Yeah, then I could pass Algebra, play some freaky mind trick games on Karofsky when he threatens to rip my nuts, hack into Jew Fro’s World of War craft and steal his might ostrich, become a Na’vi and travel to Pandora, and finally beat Blaine at a damn game of chess…” The realization of what had just poured out suddenly smacked him straight in the face. Not only had he made a totally fool out of himself but he had mentioned Blaine which could of lead to spilling the secret.

So he attempted to shield it with some laughter that appeared evidently strained. “Anyways,” Sam directed everything back to Santana. “Um, what was your…a…first time like?” He gulped as he noticed how ridiculous he was for stammering such a question, still he remained curious.

Santana listened to him as he explained how he would like to be ugly but smart for just one day. She really envied Sam for being able to not only admit that he would be able to do that, and to actually be able to do that took some serious guts in her mind. "Why does Karofsky threaten to rip your nuts?" She asked him curiously. "You're so much stronger than him, you could easily take him." She said with a small shrug. "Karofsky may be a big guy Sam but he's not that tough." She said shaking her head. "Don't let anything he says get to you." She said with a small smile. "And I am sure you could do all of that without having to turn into a braniac. I think you're smart." She told him.

She froze up slightly at his question and then reached her hand out to her fork, playing with her fork lazily as she pushed the lettuce around her plate. "It sucked." She said honestly. "It meant nothing to the guy, it hurt like a bitch, and I cried." She told him honestly as she looked up at him. She was a little shocked at how honest she had been with the answer considering that she never told anyone how much she hated her first time, but the point of the game was to be honest. She really did hate her fist time though, it was just a fuck. It didn't mean anything and she cried and even though she wished the guy would have wiped away her tears, been gentle with her, told her it would get better and hold her afterwards. He didn't.

She swallowed the lump in her throat and cleared her throat. "Right, so next question." She said thinking for a moment. "What's your most secret sexual fantasy?" She asked him curiously, wondering if it would have to do with blue paint and fake tails.

A Seperate Room in Breadstix - Page 9 Empty Re: A Seperate Room in Breadstix

Sam listened attentively as Santana insisted that he shouldn't allow Karofsky to push him around like that. She also assured him that despite his intimidating appearance he was actually weak against Sam and Sam could easily over power him. Which lead him to feel grateful for Santana, countless amount of times he had always felt helpless against Karofsky. He'd admit the dude scared him senseless...but sometimes the taunting and teasing really hit home to Sam, causing his temptations of busting his face in to grow even stronger. "Thanks," he said, "That really means a lot." The topic of Karofsky was really starting to make his blood boil..."I just really hate that guy." Sam spluttered through his clenched teeth. "But even if I can't kick his ass...I think you have enough badassness in you to do it yourself." He noted with a wink, a grin appearing on his face.

The grin had suddenly vanished as she opened up to Sam about her first time. He instantly regretted asking her something that was followed with such painful memories that no one wished to reminisce. "I'm so sorry," Sam shook his head at her, his voice slightly quivering. "You deserve so much better then that, Santana, really..." He lowered his gaze down at the floor. Once he had looked back up, so he was able to peer into her eyes he said: "I really wish your first time was as special as mine."

A smirk graced his lips along with a light chuckle at the next question. Sam was totally taken aback from it, but this was twenty questions...what more did he expect? It was a given that he was going to be asked some awkward questions. "My sexual fantasy," Sam echoed, totally unaware that his voice was now booming. When his most frequent fantasy suddenly came to mind, he felt his cheeks redden as his face flushed. He wasn't sure if Santana would ever want to acknowledge his existence again...but yet, he did promise to be brutally honest.

"Well, I...." He cut himself off when he felt the waitress's beady eyes stare at him from the back of his neck. He whipped his head around to spot her glancing away so it wasn't too obvious. But it was clear to Sam that they weren't very welcome here any longer. "How about we continue this game in the car?" He asked her, setting down a few bills that would cover the meal. It may have been the equivalent to his allowance for the next three months but it was worth it...so totally worth it....

Santana gave Sam a soft smile as he thanked her and told it it means a lot. "Just keeping it real." She said with a small shrug. She laughed lightly as he said that she could kick his ass. "Yeah, that's probably true," She said with a small smirk. "I could probably say some things to him that he would end up running away to go and cry to his mommy." She said with a small shrug, for it was true. She really could be cruel with her words if she wanted to be, of course she would never say anything of those sorts to Sam or any of her friends. But to Karofsky she could easily use her vicious words against him.

She shrugged slightly when he apologized. "Not your fault." She said before giving him a small smile, for it wasn't as if she knew Sam her freshman year so it's not like he could have helped her out make her first time better. "Thank you." She said, smiling even wider as he said that she deserved better then that. Most people she knew wouldn't say that to her, and probably didn't think she deserved better then that. "Really? You really enjoyed your first time?" She asked with a wide smile before she took a sip of her water.

She raised an eyebrow at him as he suggested they continue in the car, but then she spotter the look that the waitress was giving them and figured that must have been the reason behind Sam wanting to move to his car. She nodded and stood up from the seat she was in and waited for him to stand up. "Yeah, let's go." She said with a wide smile before walking out to Sam's car with him.

Carole slowly sat down putting her hands into her palms and sighing loudly, it had been a very long day at work and the last thing she wanted to do was discuss Finn and Rachel's abrupt marriage, even if she was completely in love with the person she was discussing it with, she knew there was going to be a lot of yelling, not necessarily with each other but just about the subject itself and she wasn't up for that. She brought her head back up to force an encouraging smile at Burt as he slide into the chair across from her, she also noticed he had the same pained expression on his face she'd been wearing ever since she'd heard the news.

Burt let out a deep breath as he pulled off his ball cap and set it on the seat beside him. He ran his hand briefly over his mouth as he considered what to say. He had come to accept that Finn really had gone off and married Rachel--and that he really didn't have much say in the matter. The thing was that he actually liked Rachel for the most part. She had her traits he wasn't crazy about, but so did Finn--and Kurt for that matter. That didn't make Burt any less angry at the way Finn had gone about it. The kid should have at the very least talked to his ma about it before taking such a huge step.

"So," Burt started carefully. "How are we going to play this?" he asked, not sure if they should accept and begrudgingly support the marriage or if they should start trying to get the kids to realize they'd made a mistake and try to get the marriage annulled.

Carole sighed as Burt sat down to join her and considered their options, they could try to force Finn and Rachel to end their marriage but she doubted they would have much say and a fight with her son was something she'd like to avoid though it seemed unavoidable at the moment. She knew there was one thing she was not going to do under any circumstances and that was act like she was okay with the whole ordeal because she wasn't and pretending she was wasn't going to help them realize they'd made a huge mistake.

"I don't know..." She admitted looking up at his face. "I just wish they had told us about it so we could have had a chance to convince them it was completely stupid." She added knowing very well wishing wasn't going to get them anywhere, they had to take some sort of action, the only question was which one to chose.

Burt nodded his agreement. "Thing is now if we try to tell them that it'll just make them dig their heels in harder," he groused. "It's not even that I couldn't see those two married some day...years into the future," he admitted. "They're good for each other. It's just..things change so fast at that age." He sighed. "Not telling you anything you don't know," he added apologetically.

"They think they're ready to be grown up...maybe we should treat them that way. We could sit down with them and discuss their new adult responsibilities. We'll come up with a fair rent, and they'll be responsible for paying for their own food. And we'll talk about what happens after graduation. I bet that's going to open up their eyes really fast."
